Hi everyone and welcome to the sixth day of our countdown to Christmas! Our crystal of the day today is Red Jasper. We will discuss the healing properties, the science as well as how to use this crystal as a tool in your life in this blog post. Today's positive affirmation: 'I am strong in so many ways.' (Hold your crystal, close your eyes and repeat three times.) Watch today's video:
Red Jasper is often called the stone of 'Strength'. It is an amazing crystal for strength, vitality and protection. Here are some of the many metaphysical properties of Red Jasper:
strength
vitality
protection
soothing
grounding
creativity
passion
healing
promoting a healthy pregnancy
circulation
self- confidence
courage
dream recall
centred
stables emotions
Red Jasper is a very stable stone that can help to stabilise your emotions and overall energy which helps with healing the mind, body and soul. It is a lovely stone to hold during meditation to help balance your emotions and has that grounding energy when working with the Root Chakra which helps you stay grounded and protected during your day.
Red Jasper is also an amazing stone for giving you strength when you feel physically weak. For instance, if you were sick and needed a boost of strength, holding this stone would help give you that energy. It is lovely for pregnant women as it helps to promote a healthy pregnancy which is why we include this crystal in our pregnancy crystal set. It can help to generate muscle tissue and enhance the effects of exercise, supporting the circulatory and respiratory systems.
As discussed in today's crystal video, Red Jasper can act as that reminder to do your daily exercise or go about your day with confidence, knowing that you are 'strong in so many ways'.
Furthermore, this stone promotes creativity and passion. It is a great stone for having around when working on your passion project as it gives you self-confidence and courage.
Red Jasper is part of the gemstone family, Quartz, so it is a form of Quartz, composed of silicon and oxygen atoms and is a Silicon dioxide (SiO2) crystal with traces of iron inclusions. The iron inclusions give it that opaque red shade. Quartz crystals have a Mohs hardness of 7 and I find that because of this they are great tools in your crystal collection because with them being a more durable mineral, you are able to put a tumbled stone in water or have them in your bathroom without worrying that they are going to get wet. You are therefore able to cleanse quartz crystals in water. Red Jasper in particular is a 6.5-7 on the Mohs hardness scale. Red Jasper can be found in Africa and I source my tumble stones from South Africa.
When it comes to chakra healing, Red Jasper is great for the root chakra as it is a very grounding and protective stone. This stone will help you connect with nature and the Earth. The energy of this stone reminds me of a Tree with it's roots in the ground to keep it strong and healthy. This crystal will help root you to the Earth and help you through it's healing properties.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this blog post and check in again tomorrow at 12pm for our next crystal of the day! Sending you love and positive energy! Hanna Inner Sparkle Crystals
