Moonstone | 12 Days of Crystals | Countdown to Christmas

We will discuss the healing properties, the science as well as how to use this crystal as a tool in your life in this blog post. Moonstone is often called the stone of 'New Beginnings'. It is an amazing crystal for balance, harmony and femininity. Here are some of the many metaphysical properties of Moonstone:

As Moonstone is the stone of 'New Beginnings' and 'Inner Light' it is a wonderful stone for the New Year as it will help you with thinking of your new goals and having confidence.

Moonstone is a powerful healing stone that can help to release negative emotions and brings a sense of calm, confidence, balance and inner peace due to it's soothing energy. This makes it a lovely stone for meditation before bed as it will help you relax and calm your energy.

It is also a great stone for circulation, fertility, pregnancy and child birth. It helps you connect with your feminine energy and can help to assist you in all the joys of womanhood. If you are a male this can help you become attuned to the hormonal shifts you might experience during the Moon phases. Moonstone is the stone of mystery. It has the ability to enhance ones intuition and helps us to pushes us to celebrate each stage of life just like the moon herself as she goes through the lunar cycles. I mentioned in this video that Moonstone is great for working with the Sacral Chakra but it can also be used for the Crown Chakra, especially during a Full Moon and connecting with the Moon's energy, as it will help you to listen to your intuition and gain insight.

Moonstone has a very serene energy and is great for creating joy and happiness within a home so having your Moonstone within your home will bring that positive energy. It is also seen as a good luck stone so would be lovely to carry with you wherever you go.

Moonstone is a Sodium Potassium Aluminium Silicate of the Feldspar group. It is on the Mohs hardness scale of about 6-6.5 and it usually has an opalescent/ pearly coating and can come in light white/ cream to brown shades. It can be sourced from all around the world including Madagascar, Brazil, Australia and India. I source a lot of my Moonstone, especially Rainbow Moonstone, from India.
