Clear Quartz | 12 Days of Crystals | Countdown to Christmas

Hi everyone and welcome to the first day of our countdown to Christmas! Our crystal of the day today is Clear quartz, also known as 'Rock crystal'. We will discuss the healing properties, the science as well as how to use this crystal as a tool in your life.

I love working with Clear Quartz due to the powerful energy that it holds. Clear Quartz crystals are seen as the 'Master Healer Stone' or the 'Feel Better Stone' due to it's healing energy and properties. Here are some of the many healing properties of Clear Quartz:

For example, if you wanted to practice meditation with a crystal but were not sure which one to hold, Clear Quartz would be the best choice as it will aid you during any meditation you desire and you will leave that meditation feeling re-energised and positive with a clear mind.

It is also very versatile because you can use it when setting an intention with another crystal to help amplify and magnify the energy. Clear Quartz is composed of silicon and oxygen atoms and is a Silicon dioxide (SiO2) crystal. It is also known as silica. Quartz crystals have a Mohs hardness of 7 and I find that because of this they are great tools in your crystal collection because with them being a more durable mineral, you are able to put a tumbled stone in water or have them in your bathroom without worrying that they are going to get wet. You are therefore able to cleanse quartz crystals in water. Quartz crystals is part of the trigonal crystal system with a hexagonal crystal structure and therefore, a quartz point with six-sides is seen as a well- formed crystal. Most Clear Quartz are crystal-clear to cloudy and are found all over the world as it is one of the most popular crystals on Earth.

Clear Quartz is a lovely and beautiful crystal to work with and I love having them as a tool in my crystal collection for meditation, setting intentions, creating crystal grids, decoration in my home and for crystal healing. I love taking my tumble stones with me wherever I go and clear quartz is a great one to take with you.
